    Windswept ridgeline with Chrysothamnus humilis and Leptodactylon pungens as community dominants. Shallow gravelly soil. With Astragalus whitneyi, Poa secunda, Sitanion hystrix also associated. Locally abundant. Substrate granite and metamorphic.

    Perianth bright yellow. Phenology of specimen: Fertile.
