    Plants varying from taprooted, with loosely clustered stems to single-stemmed from a creeping root, usually somewhat intermediate between the two types. Stems ascending. Flowers lavender. Pods flattened, wholly 1-celled, irregularly and rather stiffly spreading-descending. Phenology of specimen: Flower, Fruit.
