Habitat
In formerly cultivated field, now with Brassica, Xanthium spinosum and a few other weeds, the surrounding slopes arid, barren, and grazed. Common in many areas.

Description
Seems to be drying up if in fruit, but perhaps a new generation of leaves. Leaves somewhat fleshy. Fruit often on plucked plants, light yellow-orange, some plants with many, some without. No flowers. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.
