Description
Canopy or emergent tree, 28 m x 110 cm. Trunk straight, bole more or less cylindric. Bark exfoliating in thin, scalloped pieces leaving a characteristic pattern on bole. Buttresses always present and often high and long, though thin. Bark very tough and fibery. Flowers yellow. Fruits are pods-like small monkey-pot, with lid and seeral dark brown and glossy seeds inside. Phenology of specimen: Flower, Fruit.
