Habitat
Disturbed roadsides and sandy wash banks. With Chrysothamnus nauseosus, Artemisia tridentata, Salix exigua. Uncommon. Derived from Navajo Sandstone.

Perennial, stems to 1.5 m high from woody caudex, perianth white to pinkish. Phenology of specimen: Fertile, Flower, Fruit.
