Brazil. Bahia. Middle NE slopes of the Pico das Almas ca. 25km WNW of the Vila do Rio de Contas.

Habitat
Sandstone, metamorphic and quartzite rock outcrops with associated marsh, damp flushes and grassland, and some cut-over mixed deciduous woodland by stream and cerrado. This plant growing among rocks above stream.

Description
Erect herb with crown of fronds to 40cm. Basal part with chestnut hairs. Sterile fronds pale green with pale fawn hairs. Fertile fronds pale green at first, turning pale brown. Phenology of specimen: Fertile.
