Habitat
Slightly degraded campo cerrado on upland. Shrubs and small trees twisted by former fires, forming open thicket. Ground cover of grasses adn herbs. Soil poor, light reddish-brown fine sand with a little clay.

Description
Shrub no.1 is 1 3/4 m tall; no. 2 is 3 m tall (situated 50 m from no.1) Both individuals with same flower colors: buds light violet-pink; open flowers with corolla, style, and stigma white. Leaves stiff. (from plant 2.). Phenology of specimen: Flower.
