Habitat
Vast area of sandy swampy coastal plain covered with virgin "restinga" forest. Trees mostly indaiá palms 12m tall, ground with hummocks ½-1m tall divided by channels containing a few cm deep water. Ground deep shaded with some sun flecks. Soil covered with thick humus & duff layer. Inside forest. Forest here 8m tall.
