  • Description

    gregarious. Pileus 3.5-6 cm broad, convex to plane, sometimes with a low, broad umbo, moist and greasy, glabrous, dark brown (8F8) at first, then gray brown (7E6,5) to grayish orange (5B5,4) but remaining darker brown on the disc. Flesh white to watery brownish gray, unchanging, thin, with mild to slightly pungent odor and mild taste. Lamellae adnexed, crowded, thin and narrow, white to yellowish white (4A2), unchanging, with even to slightly uneven edges. Stipe 9-17 cm long, 6-8 mm broad, subradicating, twisted fibrillose striate, dry, +/- glabrous at apex, fibrillose straite below, pinkish brown at apex, brown in mid-portion, white toward and at base; base tapered abruptly to a point and bent; interior pithy and white, soon hollow. Phenology of specimen: Basidiomata.
