Georeferencing Method
BioGeomancer, Guide to Best Practices for Georefer. Georeferenced to the approximate geographic center of Brigadeiro Camarao Airport in Vilhena, Rondônia; taking into account the added uncertainty of the word "vicinity" stated in the locality description. Used Google Maps - Map and Earth Views to locate the airport. Used the Google Maps - What's Here Tool to find the coordinates of the approximate geographic center of the Airport (-12.694217, -60.099174). Followed the methods outlined in the Biogeomancer Best Practices for Georeferencing Guide: Near a Feature to find the linear extent. Used the Google Maps – Measure Distance Tool to find the linear extent of the airport by measuring from the selected coordinates to the farthest extent of the airport (1.55 km), then doubled this distance (200%). Input: coordinates (-12.694217, -60.099174), coordinate precision (0.00001 degrees), datum (WGS84), linear extent (3100.0 m), and measurement error (10 m) into the MaNIS Georeferencing Calculator to find the uncertainty radius (3111.569 m). According to the Biogeomancer Best Practices for Georeferencing Guide, Near a Feature.
