Habitat
Western face of sandstone serra with horizontally bedded rocks. Extensive grassland & marsh on lower slopes and small streams with low woodland. Rock outcrops at high altitudes, with humid forest in rocky declivity below summit. This plant growing on floor of humid forest.

Description
Fleshy decumbent herb with dark stems below ascending to 15 cm. Leaves fleshy, mid-green, paler beneath. Spikes erect, cream. Phenology of specimen: Fertile.
