Habitat
Plants widely scattered in forest openings. Open community of Pinus contorta, Populus tremuloides with Abies lasiocarpa repro. Also with Symphoricarpos oreophilus, Senecio serra, Trisetum spicatum, Calamagrostis rubescens, and Thalictrum occidentale.

Description
Sepals white on adaxial, white with bluish tinges on the abaxial surfaces; lower petals dark blue. Phenology of specimen: Flower, Fruit.
