  • Habitat

    In cracks of vertical, north-exposed dolomite outcrop. With Heuchra rubescens and a moss (Homalothecium nevadense) in protection of Acer grandidentatum.

  • Description

    Rhizomes with narrow cracks and stems many and densely clustered, old dried up foliage hanging below, petals pale purple in front, the lateral and posterior pairs violet beneath, the anterior petal purple-lined at base, the spur green to lime-green. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
