Open forest on steeply hilly terrain. Either still dominated by arborescent bamboo (Guadua) or regenerating from a bamboo die-back that began two years ago.

Description
Tree. Tree 18m x 24cm, outer bark dark brown, finely fissured, shed in small plates, inner bark brown, brittle. Trunk fluted at base. Densely branched from 6m. On slope. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.
