Bolivia. Santa Cruz. Andrés Ibáñez Prov. Along highway from Puerto Pailas to Cotoca, 16 km W of Puerto Pailas, 1.5 km E of La Enconada.

Habitat
Flat, completely surrounded by cultivated fields, with some remnants of chaco forest. Abundant.

Description
Between Cotoca and Puerto Pailas along rank grassy roadside (Panicum maximum, Pennisetum purpureum, etc.), as abundant here as M. xanthocentra var. mansii is on the road from Santa Cruz to Montero where this species seems to be absent. Mimosa xanthocentra var. mansii is present along here, but not very common. To 2.5 m tall; leaves immediately folding when touched. All plants in full flower today although now somewhat wilted (5:45 P.M., sunny with scattered sprinkles), very pale pink, almost white, but the center of the flower cluster much darker pinkish.
