Habitat
Sandstone massif, with grassy middle slopes with wet flushes below summit and montane woodland on steep rocky North face. In a very wet marsh at high altitude, just below summit.

Description
Wide rosettes of fleshy bright green leaves, dying at flowering time. Flowering stems to 60 cm. Bracts of capitula dark brown, flowers white. Phenology of specimen: Fertile.
