    "Baixo" -- low terraces possibly flooded occasionally by overflowing streams, with semi-closed canopy including Hura, Moraceae, trunked palms, Sterculia, Eschweilera; understory with Marantaceae and Araceae); and surrounding slopes (with Averrhoidium, Couroupita, Moraceae, Annonaceae, Pouteria).

  • Description

    vine. Root-climbing vine 2m, calyx pale green except for black glands on margin, corolla white, fruits green, splitting in two to reveal purple inner surface and black seeds embedded in white pulp. Photo. Phenology of specimen: Flower, Fruit.
