Habitat
Remnants of chaco forest, with Phyllostylon rhamnoides, Acanthosyris falcata, Aspidospermum quebracho-blanco, Ruprechtia triflora, with small temporary roadside pond, surrounded by pastures and cultivated fields. Flat, clay soil.

Description
Prostrate and rooting where in contact with soil, forming characteristic solid little patches on bare clay around temporary pond. It is only possible to make a good specimen by finding a plant growing over organic matter and not rooting.
