    Subtropical, semi-deciduous "Chaco" forest, 4-8 m tall, dense, spiny, briefly inundated in the rainy season, very flat, the soil fine sandy and silty, Bumelia obtusifolia, Capparis tweediana, Reichenbachia hirsuta.

    Scrambling, viny, to 4 m high in small trees; stem 4 cm in diameter. Fruit yellow green, some tannish.
