Description
Slender shrub 4 m tall, 2 cm in diameter. Spikes erect. Similar to no. 49586 Piper hispidum, but leaves smooth above. Piper aduncum is common in early secondary growth here, but mostly not blooming now. Piper heterophyllum is rare but more common in nearby pastures and edge of barbecho along trail to Río Yapacaní.
