Habitat
With water-worn horizontally bedded sandstone at soil surface, with damp sand, sedge-marsh, exposed rock and waterfall. Vegetation open scrub to closed low woodland in drier areas.

Description
Aromatic rather intricately-branched shrub to 1.5 m. Leaves orange-scented, slightly viscid, dull green above, paler beneath. Calyx green tinged purple. Corolla violet-purple with upper lip slightly reddish-purple with darker veins. Fruiting calyces brown with white hairs. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
