On dry hills. With Pinus sabiniana. Only a few plants seen here, reported to be mroe abundant further north along Walker ridge Road.

Tree, ca. 30 ft. tall. A multistemmed tree, ca. 30 ft. tall; foliage thick and dark green; male strobili numerous; no female cones seen; foliage fragrant. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
