Disturbed forest on peninsula of terra firme (poorly drained) created by oxbow in river. Occasional. Poorly drained clay soil.

Description
terrestrial herb. Terrestrial herb to 2.2 m, sometimes scandent, bracts green, calyx greenish-white, petals light blue tinged with white, the lower petal strongly so. Fruits glossy blue-black streaked with green, opening toreveal orange seeds. In shaded understory by trail. Phenology of specimen: Fruit, Flower.
