Habitat
On slope of ridge, seepy ground, and on and around spectacular, seepy sandstone outcrops. With thick growth of Betula-Salix shrubs and scrubby Abies, thick mats of Rhytidium in places.

Mixed with Drepanocladus uncinatus. Herbarium, the University of Alberta.
