Diverse montane wet shrubland. Dicranopteris linearis, Metrosideros polymorpha, Cheirodendron trigynum.

Description
Peren. herbs w/ short rhizomes, fronds 1-2.5 m long, sprawling pinnae, yellow-green beneath, densely tufted apices w/ stiff black hairs.
