    "This specimen I believe to be E. seductrix minor (Austin) Grout: 1. Exostome of few smooth articulations; 2. Enlarged alar cell extending well up along the leaf margin; 3. Opercular rostrum short, straight. Vide Grout, Mosses with a Hand Lens p. 381; Jenney [?] p. 224; Sull. ICONES p. 147, pl. 93... Leaves 1.125/0.500, 1.25/0.69, 1.23/0.50... Characters of E. compressus: dentes peristomii, lineales multo crebrius articulate, operculo longius tenui-rostrata." - W. H. Wiegmann. Phenology of specimen: Sporangia.
