Cool damp shaded lower parts of N-facing Cambrian sandstone cliff. With Tsuga canadensis, Pinus strobus, Polypodium virginianum, Acer spicatum, Bryoxiphium norvegicum, Usnea, Sullivantia renifolia, Lycopodium porophilum, Ledum groenlandicum (!).
