Wet cliffs at base of mountain. Associated with Encalypta procera, Timmia megapolitana, Orthotrichum alpestre, Amphidium lapponicum, Myurella julacea, M. tenerrima, Grimmia apocarpa var. conferta f. obtusifolia, Bartramia pomiformis and Distichium capillaceum.
