In loose mat on ledge of wet cliff at base of "Crooked Teapot Mt.". Associated with Encalypta procera, Plagiopus olderi, Timmia megapolitana, Orthotrichum alpestre, Amphidium lapponicum, Myurella julacea, M. tenerrima, Grimmia apocarpa var. conferta f. obtusifolia and Distichium capillaceum.
