Thorn scrub with columnar cacti, Capparis, Aspidosperma. Abundant around town and common here and there along the old railroad.

Shrubs, 1-3 m. tall, mostly with old fruit and leaves dried and fallen. Fruit orange, held erect. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.
