Feperomia wainiana n.sp.
A moderately small essentially glabrous (pendulous arbpri-
colons?) herb; stem very slender (scarcely 2 m,)> leaves al-
ternate , subovate-elliptic, subcgjidately pointed, rounded at
base, moderate (2*5-3*B^< 6-9 cp»), dull, drying olive-green
beneath, rather opaque, pinnately veined, the1 Trui$ branches
of the heav^/'midrib about 3!^ 2r «parBely long-ciliate, petiole
short (scarcely over 10 mnu j:.j spike# tèrminal, paired at end
of a 1- or 2-bracted internode 2 cm. , rather elongated
