Among basalt rocks along road. With Artemisia tridentata wyomingensis, Elytrigia spicata, Poa secunda. Plants common but scattered among basalt rocks along road T12, ca. 2.2 miles west-southwest of Highway 20/26.

Sts to 0.8 m tall in some specimens; flowers deep clear blue. Phenology of specimen: Fertile, Flower.
