Description
Shrub, 1 m; pubescence of new growth brown-ochraceous; leaves deep green, subnitid above; hypanthium yellowish, callus-like; calyx tube and lobes red; petals pink; style pink; stigma prominent and enlarged, yellow, its base lobed; stigma forcing petals open; filaments pink; anthers reddish-purple; branches of the plant covered with what appears to be a black lichen. Phenology of specimen: Fertile.
