Habitat
Brushy areas along railroad. Between sugarcane fields, flat, the soil fine sandy. With Acrocomia aculeata, Cecropia polystachya, Samanea tubulosa.

Description
Herbs 1-2 m tall; leaves smooth, but not at all glutinous or resinous when fresh. Flowers light lilac, slightly fragrant; many plants not yet in bloom.
