Bolivia. Santa Cruz. Florida Prov. Along road to Bella Vista, 2.1 km SE from Santa Cruz-Samaipata highway turnoff vic. Cuevas. Slopes along road through bottom of valley of Quebrada Guapurucillo, steep slopes, between mountains of massive red sandstone of Serranía de la Cruz to the NE and Cerro Guapurucillo to the south.

At edge of road but less common than no. 49146.

Description
Herb 2 m tall, branched; leaves smooth but not viscous to touch, but becoming resinous after a few hours in the press. Inflorescence pale lilac, similar to but paler than no. 49146, faintly fragrant, also attracting a multitude of butterflies as well as honeybees and smaller bees.
