Southwest facing slope. With Pinus longaeva, Petrophytum, Pinus flexilis, Picea engelmannii, Ribes. Common and scattered in with Artemisia, below pine forest and Quaking Aspen.

2.5-3.5 dm tall, perennial, small clumps, corolla blue violet, slightly dorsal-ventral, glandular?. Phenology of specimen: Fertile, Flower.
