Flat, clay soil, mostly cleared for sugar cane and other crops, with patches of brush and remnant forest with Attalea phalerata (Scheelea princeps).

Description
Patch at edge of field and woods. Inflorescence erect; bracts bright yellow-orange, the tips darker orange; flowers yellow with yellow-green tips; fruit erect, yellow-green. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
