United States of America. California. Mono Co. Glass Mountain Region: east slope of Black Mountain, appx. 2.5km south of peak, at end of old mine/ranch road from Kelty Meadows area. (Glass Mountain quad).

Habitat
Small east-running drainage cutting through rocky decomposed granite alluvium. Dense upland scrub of Artemisia tridentata, Purshia tridentata, Eriogonum umbellatum, Chrysothamnus viscidiflorus, Grayia spinosa, Symphoricarpos rotundifolius and occasional Pinus monophylla. More mesic wash areas with Populus tremuloides, Ribes cereum, Salix geyeriana, Agastache urticifolia, Wyethia mollis, Potentilla glandulosa. Occasional under Aspens.

Basal leaves withered at flw time. Phenology of specimen: Flower, Fruit.
