United States of America. California. Mono Co. Glass Mountain Region: Sawmill Canyon, appx. 400m north of 4WD Road crossing to Kelty Meadows. Appx. 1 mile north of Sawmill Meadow. (Glass Mountain quad).

Habitat
Deep narrow drainage below coarse granitic outcrops, soft pumice soil. Populus tremuloides woodland immediately around stream, with grazed Artemisia tridentata scrub above. With Sphenosciadium capitellatum, Achillea millefolium, Aquilegia formosa, Trifolium longipes, Smilacina stellata, Carex, Juncus, Salix. Occasional along drier edges of stream banks.

Description
To 1m tall, flowers deep blue, basal leaves ± shriveled at flw time. Phenology of specimen: Flower, Fruit.
