    Subalpine dry meadow on granitic and basaltic alluvium, draining east. Evidently grazed, with lots of headcutting around dry stream. Populus tremuloides woodland around meadow edges, Artemisia scrub above. With Purshia tridentata, Ribes cereum, Achillea millefolium, Elymus trachycaulis, Aquilegia formosa, Muhlenbergia richardsonis, Potentilla, Veratrum, Salix, Juncus, Carex. Common, scattered in shady Aspen understory.
