Habitat
Secondary (30-40 years old) subtropical forest dominated by Anadenanthera colubrina, very flat, on fine silty and sandy soil. Trees to 15 m. tall.

Shrub 1.5 m. tall, with arching branches. Flowers deep yellow, odorless. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
