Habitat
Hanging from the stone, gravelly banks of the Pauala River.

Description
Shrub, 15 feet long; stem a few inches thick; wood whitish; bark smooth, brown; leaves coriaceous, lucid, bright green above, duller and a trifle paler green beneath; flowers rigid, caducous; calyx greenish; corolla white; stamens of the same amber; anthers yellowish; filaments greenish; ovary greenish-white. Phenology of specimen: Fertile.
