    Shrub 2 m tall, very similar to no. 48150 Piper aduncum L., but leaves somewhat bullate and more shiny above. About intermediate between Piper aduncum and no. 48153 Piper elongatum Vahl. Spikes arching, fewer than in no. 48150.
