Canada. Alberta. Jasper National Park: Just inside Alberta border from British Columbia; On east side of the ridge along Highway 16 bordering the east side of the lake at the border.

Habitat
Also in adjacent rich fen with scattered Picea mariana and Betula-Salix shrubs, Tomenthypnum nitens-Sphagnum warnstorfii-Campylium stellatum-Drepanocladus revolvens-Lophozia rutheana dominants in the ground layer. On slatey outcrops with some calcareous influence, and northeast aspect.
