Phenology of specimen: Flower.

Collection Notes

"This specimen is not L. intrapetiolaris (see type specimen), but conforms to the description of L. mollis as given by Hooker f. in Fl. Bras. 14(2): 10. 1867., and is in all probability Spruce 3441 "as flum. Casiquiare, Vasiva et Pacimoni", cited in the Fl. Bras. But further, this specimen does not seem to be the same species as the type of L. mollis Benth., Schomburgk 910 from the Rio Negro. It is therefore assumed that the ticket in this sheet has been transposed with that specimen now interpreted as the isotype of L. intrapetiolaris, and that the ticket on that sheet, Spruce 3441, actually belongs to this specimen, reading "3441 Licania. Ad flumina Casiquiare, Vasiva et Pacimoni, coll. R. Spruce, 1853-1854" det. B. Maguire, 1947

Specimen Notes

According to Maguire (see collection notes), this specimen is acutally Spruce 3441. The label was apparently switched with Spruce 3539. The latter no. is cited as the isotype of L. intrapetiolaris and the specimen matching its description is filed in the type herbarium, with the NY barcode 428436
