Georeferenced to the approximate geographic center of the peak of Pedra da Gávea (approx. 844 m) in the city of Rio de Janeiro. Used the reference material and Google Maps – Earth and Terrain Views to locate Pedra da Gávea. Used the Google Maps – What's Here Tool to find the coordinates of the approximate geographic center of the peak of the mountain (used Earth View to approximate this; Terrain View does not provide exact elevation contour lines in this vicinity). Used the Google Maps – Measure Distance Tool to find the linear extent by measuring from the selected coordinates to the farthest extent of the peak Pedra da Gávea, overextending to be sure to encompass all area that may be considered the peak (to: -22.997664, -43.284159).
