Description
A middle size tree, stem 2 ft thick, terete, more or less crocked, 40 ft high, branched maily at the top, wood light and very soft, odorless and tasteless, white except the dingy or yellowish central mass; bark rather thick, smooth and yellowish on the outside, nearly of the same color througout; main branches widely sprading, freely rebranched and forming an umbrella, shaped crown; the green petioles horizontally spraeding; leaflets thinly coriaceous, conduplicate on the upper nearly equalling green upper side; inflorescence erect from the uppermost leaf axils, green except the pure white sweet "anice" scented flowers.
