Description
Small erect tree or shrubby; stem 5 inches thick, 15 feet high, widely branched above he middle; wood moderately hard, odorless and tasteless, yellowish-white; bark mottled, smooth; branches laxly and numerously rebranched, the slender twigs greenish; leaves chataceous, mostly descending, flat and with recurved tips, shining and deeper green above; buds green, fascicled in the leaf axils; the 5 (segments?) of each of the calyx and corolla light yellow; filaments 10, whitish; anthers yellowish-brown; stigmas large, whitish, obscurely rugulose; young fruits green, ellipsoid, apparently 2-celled or 2-seeded. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
