Description
Crooked, shaggy-barked trees about 10 or 12 m tall, the trunk 1-2(3) dm thick. Leaves green on both sides. Twigs gray or yellowish-gray. Growing with S. amygdaloides (#8992), and partly swamped by hybridization. Note high proportion of aborted capsules. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.
