Habitat
Plant spreads out over loose soil, forming loose small mats. In half-shade of Pinus ponderosa jeffreyi, Juniperus occidentalis, Pinus lambertiana, and Abies magnifica. Here also are: Ceanothus cordulatus, Ribes cereum, Arctostaphylos patula, Kellogia galioides.

Description
Corolla blue with some violet, especially at base. Lower lip with 2 pale spots, one at each sinus. Corolla widely open. Phenology of specimen: Fertile, Flower.
